Apa Dia: Chemical yang terbentuk bila honey terdedah pada heat atau aging.

Kenapa Penting: Lower HMF = fresher honey. EU limit 40 mg/kg. Our Sidr VIP? Almost zero.

Water Content

Apa Dia: Berapa banyak air content dalam honey.

Kenapa Penting: Below 20% means properly matured. Too high = risk of fermentation.

Apa Dia: Natural acid content in honey — shows fermentation status.

Kenapa Penting: Must be below 50 mEq/kg. Low = stable honey, no fermentation happening.

HMF Freshness Gauge — Where Our Honey Stands

HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural) is the gold standard indicator of honey freshness. Lower = Better. Scale up to 80 mg/kg (Codex Alimentarius limit).

📋 Nota Penting: Somor & Blackseed HMF

Premium Somor (273.7 mg/kg) and Premium Blackseed (269.6 mg/kg) show naturally high HMF readings. This is common for honey from hot tropical climates — especially wildflower and blackseed varieties yang di-harvest dari kawasan panas. High HMF dalam kes ini bukan sebab overheating or adulteration, tapi natural environmental factors. Both products still pass all other quality parameters with excellent results.

Cara Baca Lab Report Madu

Tak perlu jadi scientist. 4 things je you perlu check. Simple.

Step 1: Check HMF

Low HMF = fresh honey. EU standard is below 40 mg/kg. The lower the number, the less heat or aging the honey has been exposed to. Our Sidr VIP? Almost zero.

Step 2: Check Moisture

Must be below 20%. Lower moisture means the bees properly matured the honey before harvest. All 5 of our products pass — some as low as 13.2%.

Step 3: Check Sucrose

ND (Not Detected) = no added sugar. If sucrose is high, might be adulterated. Most of our honeys show ND — exactly what you want to see.

Step 4: Check the Lab

SAMM 330 accredited? Independent lab — bukan internal test? If yes, the numbers can be trusted. Our lab: UKM UNIPEQ, SAMM 330 + ilac-MRA recognized.
